Professor Lim Soo Kun is serving as a Professor of Medicine and Senior Consultant Nephrologist at the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).
A graduate of 1999, Professor Lim became board-certified as a nephrologist in 2008. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the American Society of Nephrology, signifying his exceptional contributions and expertise in the field of nephrology.
Professor Lim’s clinical and research interests include chronic kidney disease (CKD), pre-dialysis CKD education, glomerulonephritis, and kidney transplantation. In addition to his clinical practice, he plays a pivotal role in numerous professional organizations. He currently serves as the President of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology; Chair of dialysis committee and board member of the National Kidney Foundation. He is also an advisory board member of the National Renal Registry and a member of the National Credentialing Committee's Specialty Subcommittee for Nephrology. Recently, he was appointed as the Head of the Clinical Investigation Centre at UMMC.
With an extensive portfolio of publications in leading medical journals, Professor Lim has contributed significantly to advancing nephrology research. He has delivered presentations at numerous international and national conferences, sharing his expertise with peers and the medical community at large.
