A Professor of Psychiatry and current Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), Universiti Putra Malaysia. Research focuses on the mental health and risk behaviors of young adults, particularly psychological distress, addiction, and digital health interventions. With over 100 publications and an H-index of 19 (Scopus), has led national initiatives to standardize psychiatric education, including as Lead Writer for the National Postgraduate Medical Curriculum (NPMC) for Psychiatry. Actively involved in many Industry-Sponsored Research (ISR). Recognized for clinical excellence as a Consultant Psychiatrist, alongside high-level academic leadership and a strong commitment to advancing mental health advocacy in Malaysia.
